combat pandemic Anxiety

We are in the middle of an anxiety pandemic.
We hear about young people with no underlying illnesses die, the news are all around the spread of the disease, and we are afraid to get close to others, touch things, and get obsessed when we touch our faces.
This aspect of the pandemic can lead to consequences on mental health and it should be taken care of.
Following is a simple method to do it:
  • Sit comfortably wherever you are, and slowly start counting from one to three. At the count of one: “roll your eyes up towards the top of your head.”
  • At the count of two: “close your  eyes and take a deep breath.”
  • At three, breathe out slowly, relax your lids and eyes, and feel yourself restful and floating.
  • take half a minute to one minute to do these steps.
  • Now count backward from 3 to 1 and open your eyes.
Notice how nice and restful you feel.
Now Imagine a movie screen:
1. Look at the imagined  screen and project on it any pleasant scene you wish; this is your screen.  You can do this one, two, three or whatever times a day. This can take 1 to  5 minutes.
2.Repeat all steps above. Now, on the screen, imagine a thick line dividing the screen into 2 halves , and on the left side, project your worries and concerns and fears. The idea is to see but not experience them. Then shift to the right half, and visualize any pleasant scene you wish. Do this for 1  to  5 minutes.
You will find that the pleasant scene on the right half will overcome the unpleasant scene on the left, and you must feel more relaxed now
