When A Family Member Is Sick

If a family member is dealing with COVID-19 at home, you can help their recovery by taking certain steps.

First and foremost: Limit your exposure to them as much as possible, mainly by staying about 2 meters away from them.

keep him in a separate room, sleep in another room, use a different bathroom if possible.

Don’t leave your beloved one completely alone but wear face masks and wash your hands frequently.

Check on them regularly, make sure they are OK, hydrating and eating well.

make sure they are not having the symptoms of decreased oxygenation like: labored breath, blue lips, blue fingers or toes, persistent headache, slow thinking, shortness of breath at rest and difficulty talking like speaking in words or phrases with inability to make complete sentences, and high fever.

Remember that you could have the disease even if you don’t have symptoms, so, although you don’t need to have the test, you have to self-isolate for 14 days in order to help curb the virus spread

People with mild symptoms can take OTC medicines to relieve symptoms, including paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Decongestants could be taken too without a prescription to relive nasal congestion, as well as antidiarrheal and anti-spasm drugs
