Mask In The Car

Should you keep wearing the mask if you are in your car?
Face mask is proven helpful in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and it is a standard health recommendations for protection.
But you might have asked yourself: Should I be wearing a mask while driving my car?
OK. maybe not if you are travelling alone, but always err on the side of safety.
But in certain other situations, you better put on the mask. For example:
  • If you have in the car some people who don’t reside with you. you may also want to avoid the recirculation settings of your car AC. You can as well open the car windows for air circulation.
  • If you have symptoms and have other people in the car
  • If you feel anxious and the mask gives you comfort
  • If you are repeatedly having stops so you can avoid taking off and putting on cycles. The mask could be contaminated and you won’t need to touch it frequently.
But keep in mind that, wearing a mask while driving can reduce your field of vision. So always check the benefit-risk balance.
