Is it very important to pay attention to our mental and emotional health! Unfortunately, a lot of us ignore that and don’t care about it.
Many have heard the common phrase: “All diseases are from stress and nervousness.” However, as a simple and natural step in the case of a somatic illness, a person seeks medical help, and the state of stress, anxiety and depressive mood often remains without proper attention or referral to a specialist.

It is well known that when people receive proper mental health care, they tend not to seek medical attention. There is evidence that people with unresolved mental health problems and psychological problems visit psychiatrists twice as often as those receiving specialized and mental health care.
Excessive anxiety and stress can contribute to certain heart conditions and weaken the immune system. Psychological problems also increase the possibility of making wrong behavioral decisions, which are manifested in addiction to smoking, drug and alcohol abuse and other bad habits. There is a close relationship between the psyche and the physical state of a person. Feelings of anxiety, constant stress and anxiety can lead to poor health. People who care about mental and psychological health tend to achieve great success both professionally and personally. Mental health is important in terms of communication and immersion in society with all its problems, especially in the family. It allows you to maintain a healthy atmosphere in the circle of close people, properly educate children, and give them the necessary care and a good psychological model to accompany their lives. Mentally healthy people are more resistant to the influence of negative social factors, less likely to form “bad habits”. Thus, when people are free from depression, anxiety, excessive tension, and worry, they can live fully, enjoying awareness to the fullest.
Only a specialist can fully assess the state of mental health. However, for the assessment of the state of the individual or the psychological state of relatives and friends and the decision to seek help, it is enough to pay attention to a few simple criteria:
1. The state of sleep:
Difficulty falling asleep, restless sleep, unusually early awakening and, conversely, increased drowsiness, lack of rest upon awakening – all these sleep disorders may indicate a malfunction of the nervous system, and in themselves lead to excessive fatigue, and therefore to an increased risk of mental disorder.
2. Performance level:
Mental functioning is characterized by the activity of mental processes: attention, memory, and thinking. Decreased mental performance, which manifests itself in the form of memory impairment, problems concentrating and difficulty making decisions, can be a sign of many mental disorders and diseases.
3. Emotional state:
The emotional sphere is very sensitive to various manifestations of trouble. The predominance of negative emotional reactions (bad mood, crying, irritability, anger), their unusualness and high intensity, especially in situations that contradict the situation in which they manifest themselves, difficulties in managing one’s emotional state – all this is a reason to pay attention to the state of mental health.
4. Changes in behavior:
For a person, there are habitual ways of responding in different life situations, due to character traits and life experience. A sharp departure from the usual forms of behavior, an unexpected change in stable views, the lack of a clear connection between these changes and life events can be a manifestation of emotional and mental distress.
If you feel or see any of the above criteria, we recommend you seek support counselling support.
