The following checklist is designed to help you reduce your level of stress. Over the next 30 days see how many you can check off and keep practicing to improve the emotional quality of your life :
- Establish your priorities. Give attention and time to the important things. Get rid of the rest.
- Don’t do everything yourself. Identify what tasks you can delegate and let others assist you.
- Organize yourself. With disorganization important things become confusing and easily overlooked.
- Lay down achievable, short-run goals and reward yourself whenever you reach one.
- Kindly say No when you can take no more duties.
- Try to think positive and always assume the good in you and in people around you
- Just laugh. Find humor in everyday stuff. Watch comedies
- Don’t keep it all to yourself. Talk to someone : a relative, a friend, or a counselor
- Music is relaxing. Use the type you love or learn to savor it.
- Perfection and idealism are not natural. Just enough is fine
- Learn to practice yoga or meditation or relaxing breathing
- Keep active. Physical activity is a great stress buster
- Have a “me time” : 5 – 10 minutes everyday
